Why SHROOMBOX?
SHROOMBOX makes mushroom growing easy by simulating ideal fruiting conditions in an enclosed space and contamination-free environment.
LIGHTING
LED lights produce 6000k of blue light on a timer to engage the circadian cycle of your growing mycelium.
FRESH AIR EXCHANGE
Fresh air is steadily pumped into the box to optimize the oxygen and CO2 levels. This air is cleaned with a water filtration system that minimizes the possibility of contamination.
HUMIDITY
No spray bottle needed! An internal humidifier keeps humidity levels from dropping too low for mushroom fruiting.
How We Started
Our founder, Michael, suffered a traumatic brain injury after he and his wife, Heather, were waiting at a stop light, and a suicidal driver plowed into the back of their car at more than 80 mph.

Michael was ejected from the vehicle and after the accident, he had severe memory, speech, and other issues related to his TBI. Michael feared he would never be able to return to work as a managing attorney.

As avid mushroom foragers, Michael and Heather knew about the healing power of mushrooms, so when improvement in his symptoms plateaued, he turned to mushrooms to help his TBI recovery. Michael began growing his own mushrooms at home, designing the ideal growing environment in a tidy and compact box.

After many iterations and improvements on his original design, the SHROOMBOX was born! Michael was able to take his health into his own hands, experience improvement in his TBI symptoms, and return to work as an attorney.
